Hello! My name is Gema, I am a Mexican living in Italy. I am patient and a good listener with a typically Mexican friendly and outgoing personality. During my schooling I attended a bilingual school (Spanish-English) before going on to a translator and Interpreter college where I learnt other languages.
I've been living in Italy for the last 26 years and have worked as an interpreter/translator at International Trade Fairs. I consider italian as my "second native" language and I consider myself a long life language learner. All the time, I practice other languages I keep learning new words and linguistic or cultural concepts. I understand the struggle involved and the difficulties faced when trying to raise one's language level. On the other hand, I know how good it feels when you are first able to understand a song or the news, or when you are able to speak on the phone or, even better, when you realize that you've achieved your learning goals and can hold a conversation with locals/native speakers or follow up a negotiation.
I was invited to work as Spanish teacher 7 years ago, at first, I was not that enthusiastic, but after the first lessons, my students made it a great experience. Passion for this activity is always at the top, I enjoy teaching Spanish, talk about our culture and traditions. Talk about travelling and businesses. Teaching online is my only activity by now.
I love travelling and meeting new people from other countries and cultures. Working as a Spanish teacher online for foreigner students allows me to connect with all of you around the world and that is fantastic!
