"VAULTT is a collection of original videos highlighting various aspects of language teaching in the classroom. Each short video is accompanied by supplementary information (in a PDF) explaining the techniques and relating them to best practices in language teaching. Some of these videos are real classes, and some are staged.
Although these materials are based on current research in second language acquisition, they are produced at a level accessible for teachers with little or no pedagogical training."

Professor Stephen Krashen Website
Professor Stephen Krashen has been a central figure in the field of second language acquisition. His late 1970's Monitor Model not only influenced the direction of the research and studies in the field and the efforts to understand how we learn languages, but it also sparked debate and research in many directions in the field. Today, professor Krashen is trying to create spaces where teachers can read about how we learn languages so that they can become informed teachers. Today, it is expensive to read current articles or books in SLA and professor Krashen is trying to create a platform where teachers can find free articles and information about second language acquisition.

He goes over the research in this area to provide a window to what we know so far about critical periods in SLA. Presentation by Professor Lourdes Ortega (YouTube)
"Plenary speaker: Lourdes Ortega - Multilingual Understandings of English Competence and Success People learn English all over the world, and second-language English students are by definition people on their way to becoming bilinguals or multilinguals. Yet all too often their English is construed as deficient and their multilingual prowess is erased. In this talk, I reflect on what it means to be a successful, communicatively competent speaker of English, in light of the multilingualism of second-language English speakers and the special status of English, with its contested global, international, and lingua franca affordances. I will argue that we cannot understand English competence or learning success, in academic or other contexts, unless we understand English-in-multilingualism and open up our language pedagogies to the psycholinguistic and social realities of multilinguals."
